BRESLOW FOR GOVERNOR

Would Deprive Children of Medical Care

When Breslow challenged the long term Republican Auditor during the early 1990s, he called for more efficient government and ran as a Democrat. After the Republicans gained control of the Congress in 1994, Breslow declared himself to be a Republican.

He has shown himself to be a Republican. He has been endorsed by the "Right to Life" coalition, and is allegedly Pro-Life. His Pro-Life posturing is revealed for what it is by his recent statement to the media that he wanted to remove children from Medicare.

Of course, all Republicans claim that private doctors can do a better job and do it faster. Well - all you have to do is call a doctor for an appointment and you will find that the private doctors are tied up for two weeks to a month.

As for private insurance being more efficent than government, all you have to do is have a private insurance company reject your claim after you have paid your premiums for full coverage and you will know the reality of private insurance.

Breslow was supposedly going to make government more efficient, however, he doesn't seem to have produced any significan results. Government is government and has its own way of operating and is likely as efficient as it will ever get. If business didn't want so much service from government we wouldn't have such a big government, but don't tell business that, they aren't listening.

When Breslow ran for Auditor, this paper supported him. This criticism of him may produce cries of "Anti-Semitism." The criers will have to cry because they would be lying. I'm not interested in a person's religion, only in their goals and results. I supported Barry Goldwater in 1964, long before I started this paper. I also supported and worked with the late Senator Ed Zorinsky.
